CURT MILLER
SENIOR PASTOR
Our senior pastor is a native New Mexican and grew up in Southern New Mexico. His love of the western way of life came from his grandfather’s farming, ranching, and dirt construction businesses. His grandfather also was the one who had him on horseback before he was walking. Early in his childhood he began competing in local rodeos and eventually started riding bulls and roping calves. While in his late teens, Pastor Curt begin to realize his life was in a downward spiral. Even though he grew up in a Christian home with parents who were very involved in the ministry, he chose to ignore the Christian life in order to pursue HIS plan for life. Finally realizing he was always just one step away from a trainwreck, he decided to turn his life around by accepting Jesus into his life. Pastor Curt’s life immediately changed, he soon felt the call to ministry. He attended Southwest Baptist University earning a BA in Theology and Communication. He served as a Youth Pastor for 13 years in several small and large churches. He has started 3 churches, two being Cowboy churches. He started a corporate training/consulting business traveling 150 plus days per year speaking to start up businesses and fortune 100 companies addressing leadership, change management and employment relationship issues. He had the opportunity to oversee the Partnership Development division of Injoy Stewardship, a John Maxwell organization. Pastor Curt has 2 amazing daughters that are married to great men and 5 grandchildren that make him a very happy man.
DAVID CROSBY
ASSOCIATE PASTOR
David was born and grew up in upstate New York where, after graduating high school, he attended Prairie Bible College in Alberta, Canada. During college he went to Europe to evangelize with an organization called Operation Mobilization. Later, with that same organization he went to India for two years and evangelized in several southeast Asian countries. Upon returning to NY, he successfully pastured in two churches. In August 1986 he moved to New Mexico to help to establish a Christian school and minister in a couple of local churches. David says his greatest blessing is his involvement as associate pastor of East Mountain Cowboy Church.
PATTY JACKSON
BUSINESS MANAGER
Patty was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. In early 2018 she gathered up her husband Clint, her mother Ilene, and 2 Shiba Inu pups and moved/retired to the East Mountains. She has more than 40 years experience in accounting and IT. Shortly after East Mountain Cowboy Church started, Patty was trying to figure out how she could use her gifts to support GOD and EMCC. Becoming the Business Manager for our church was the perfect match.
TOM SAMS
MUSIC/WORSHIP LEADER
As the EMCC music ministry team leader, I lead the band for Sunday Morning Church Services and arrange our music to inspire and motivate folks to receive the Gospel each week. Cowboy Church music doesn't work out of a traditional hymnal. We are open to sharing a wide range of hymns, gospel, and inspirational music to compliment the word of God, albeit with a down home flavor. We are always looking for new talent to incorporate into our worship service.
